Candy Digital, in collaboration with DC Comics and Warner Brothers Discovery Group, is set to release a new collection of Batman-themed NFTs, marking the iconic superhero’s 85th anniversary.
The Legacy Cowls Collection, comprising 11,544 digital collectibles, pays homage to Batman’s debut in “Detective Comics #27.” This collection is a continuation of the Bat Cowl Batman-themed NFT series introduced in 2022 and will be available on the Ethereum scaling network Palm via Candy Digital on March 29.
Each NFT in the Legacy Cowls Collection is inspired by “Batman: The Legacy Cowl,” an original DC comic series created by artist Pablo M. Collar and writer Dan Abnett. These 3D collectibles offer fans a unique opportunity to own digital representations of Batman’s iconic cowls and participate in the ongoing narrative of the Batman universe.
“Candy Digital is thrilled to present the Legacy Cowls Collection, celebrating one of the most beloved superheroes of all time,” said Straith Schreder, Chief Creative Officer at Candy Digital. “This collection not only commemorates Batman’s legacy but also invites fans to actively contribute to the ongoing story of the Dark Knight through voting, crafting events, and immersive experiences.”
The Legacy Cowls Collection builds upon the success of previous Bat Cowl NFT drops and incorporates fan feedback and contributions into the storyline. Owners of original Bat Cowl NFTs have played a pivotal role in shaping the comic narrative, and the new collection aims to further engage fans in the creative process.
Candy Digital’s commitment to fan experiences and innovation in the NFT space has attracted support from investors such as Galaxy Digital, ConsenSys Mesh, HENI, and 10T Holdings. The Legacy Cowls project exemplifies Candy Digital’s vision of collaborative creativity and interactive storytelling within the blockchain ecosystem.
Alongside possessing a portion of Batman’s heritage, owners of Legacy Cowl NFTs will unlock exclusive augmented reality encounters, voting rights for creative choices, involvement in puzzles, and access to forthcoming releases. DC Comics persistently unveils collectible comics biweekly, ensuring fans have continuous chances to immerse themselves in beloved characters and narratives.
