The mobile game “Heroes of Mavia,” a crypto-infused version of Clash of Clans available on iOS and Android, announced its entry into “Phase 2: Next Frontier.” This phase introduces the integration of MAVIA tokens into the gameplay, unveiling new features over the next four months.
Developed by Skrice Studios, “Heroes of Mavia” aims to create a sustainable token economy and ecosystem. The MAVIA token, launched on Ethereum in February, was initially airdropped to 100,000 players and holders of 10,000 Ethereum NFT in-game land plots. However, until now, the token had no in-game functionality.
Key features rolling out include a web marketplace for trading legendary item NFTs for MAVIA tokens and the Ruby Marketplace launched in May for trading items with RUBY, the game’s off-chain currency. Despite RUBY not being a cryptocurrency, it mimics crypto behavior, with every transaction traceable via the upcoming block explorer Ruby Scan.
The Ruby Swap Tool will allow players to convert in-game RUBY into MAVIA tokens, with rates fluctuating with the market. Additionally, Phase 2 will introduce 10 new features, including an NFT and token bridge, MAVIA staking pools, and a new PvP game mode.
“Heroes of Mavia” has seen significant success in its launch phase, with over 4 million downloads and an average daily user base of 74,000. Players have earned over 275 million RUBY in-game.
Despite these developments, the MAVIA token has seen a decline, currently down 8% to $2.17, marking a 21% dip over the past week and a 34% drop over the last 30 days. MAVIA is down nearly 80% from its all-time high of $10.57 in February.
