The Aragon Project, renowned for its development of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), has announced the creation of a new “governance hub” designed to enhance the governance structure of the Polygon community.
The newly developed governance hub aims to “empower users and builders to influence the core development of Polygon tech,” as stated in the announcement on Polygon’s X account. The hub promises to integrate community feedback at every step, ensuring that the platform remains decentralized and aligned with community values.
According to Aragon Project, the hub offers an “end-to-end governance solution, including protocol governance contracts and a community-driven Governance Hub.” This initiative builds on ideas discussed by the Polygon community over the past year, as highlighted by Mateusz Rzeszowski, Polygon Labs’ Head of Governance.
“An efficient, secure, and decentralized voting model is proposed to address the needs of system smart contract upgradeability,” Rzeszowski stated. “The Polygon community will soon be able to tangibly steer protocol development via the Governance Hub.”
Polygon has also released a “visual overview of the framework, from proposal submission to community voting and implementation,” which is available online. To further discuss the development, Aragon and Polygon will host an X Spaces session.
“We’re excited to bring Polygon’s governance pillars to life with our next-generation modular DAO framework: Aragon OSx,” said Anthony Leutenegger, CEO of Aragon X, in the statement. “From the protocol governance contracts to a seamless and transparent Governance Hub, this project is a significant step towards more inclusive and decentralized governance for Polygon.”
