Rarible, a prominent multi-chain digital assets marketplace, has integrated the Aptos blockchain network into its platform, aiming to expand its NFT trading capabilities. To celebrate this integration, Rarible has launched a new non-fungible token (NFT) collection named “Movement,” which is being minted for free for a limited period of three days on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The announcement was made on August 22, confirming the platform’s support for Aptos-based NFTs. This move allows users on Rarible to buy, sell, and create NFTs on the Aptos blockchain, further enhancing the platform’s multi-chain capabilities.
Rarible, which was launched in 2020, has quickly established itself as a leading decentralized marketplace for NFTs. It facilitates the creation, sale, and purchase of digital assets, enabling content creators such as digital artists and model creators to connect directly with buyers. The platform operates on the Rarible Protocol, an open-source, community-governed NFT protocol that supports multiple blockchains.
Since its inception, Rarible has grown to serve 1.6 million users, with a trading volume exceeding $270 million. The integration of Aptos into its ecosystem is expected to bolster Rarible’s position as a key player in the NFT space, offering users more options and flexibility in trading digital assets across different blockchain networks.
