Bitzero Blockchain, a Bitcoin mining venture based on completely green energy, has planned to turn the US state of North Dakota into its central base for its operations in the North American continent.
For the development of its data center and to expand its BTC mining actions, Bitzero Blockchain is willing to invest up to USD 400-500 million. The company wishes to join hands with the greenhouse project MHA Nation. The latter succeeds in allowing Bitcoin miners to use the resulting heat of their operations as energy for producing food in the region, all across the year.
According to the Governor of North Dakota, this initiative can help businesses and common citizens alike while allowing the state to get rid of its dependency – which lasted for more than 100 years – on state-level revenues.
Over the next couple of years, the Bitzero Blockchain Bitcoin mining company wishes to develop 200 MW (megawatts) of energy in its data centers.
In its plans for building data centers in North Dakota, Bitzero Blockchain wished to repurpose an anti-balistic missile site, abandoned since the ‘70s. The company is backed by Shark Tank alumni Kevin O’Leary.
