DeGods and y00ts, two Solana-based NFTs (non-fungible tokens), have planned to cross to Ethereum and Polygon in 2023, according to a Twitter announcement.
In October 2021, NFT creator Frank Degods (Rohun Vora’s pseudonym), designed DeGods and y00ts on Solana. When it comes to floor price, they are the two biggest NFT collections on the Solana blockchain.
DeGods is the first collection that will cross over to Ethereum, seeking to compete with CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club and other NFT blue chips. DeGods’ floor price is 460 SOL (USD 5,221), which is bigger than the entire Solana NFT market. On the other hand, y00ts, worth 140 SOL (USD 1600) is scheduled to migrate to Polygon, an Ethereum sidechain that enables cheaper and faster transactions.
Vora declared via Twithat Polygon and Ethereum would each serve as the new headquarters for the two collections, enabling them to appeal to a larger NFT user base. The NFT creator added that the crossing over would happen through a cross-chain bridge. Nevertheless, the team behind the two collections hasn’t disclosed more regarding the technical details behind the crossing over and how it will play out. Apparently, more details will be released at a later date.
According to the DeGods team, more details about the bridge will be made public when it will be live and tested. Reportedly, an event of this scale is unprecedented and the team wishes to ensure that the plan is airtight.
