Yuga Labs has announced that its project called Trial Of Jimmy The Monkey is planned to end with an interactive, special Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT mint.
The mint experience is scheduled to take place towards the end of January 2023 for members of BAYC & MAYC members. The Trial of Jimmy The Monkey seeks to develop the Bored Ape narative in the Web3 environment. Yuga Labs announced on Twitter that the BAYC lore expansion will start with a short film. According to the Twitter thread, parts of the narrative will be made public ‘along the way’. The Web3 platform also advised its ecosystem to watch carefully for all the details, since they can prove to be important as the narrative progresses. Currently, BAYC didn’t provide more details. The project is proclaimed to be something rather weird by the company itself, without providing more info.
When BAYC announced the project, it also delivered details regarding the particular mint tiers. BAYC or MAYC holders who also have a BAKC in possession consist of separate tiers. On the other hand, holders of either type of NFT can obtain various tier rewards. In total, there are 4 separate tiers. The first one is a Mutant Ape, the second a Mutant Ape and a BACK. Furthermore, a Bored Ape consists the third tier, while the fourth consists of a Bored Ape plus a BACK Dog. Moreover, Tier 4 also represents the highest ranked tier of the four.
The official announcements from BAYC’s official Twitter account don’t reveal much more. Yuga Labs and the Bored Ape Yacht Club have proved to be leaders in metaverse experiences and interactive story telling.
