Amazon Prime members are in for a treat as they can now claim complimentary in-game items for the NFT-based action game, Champions Ascension, on PC. Champions Ascension, a combat-oriented action role-playing game, is the latest addition to blockchain games providing exclusive in-game rewards for Amazon Prime subscribers.
Starting Friday, the Amazon Prime Gaming portal is offering a free claim for 100 in-game gold and a monster parts loot box. These loot boxes can potentially provide enough parts for players to craft a monster for the upcoming Maestro Towers mode. Despite Champions Ascension being centered around NFTs, including characters initially minted on Ethereum but later migrated to the Polygon scaling network, the items in the Amazon Prime giveaway are not tokenized NFTs for trading; they are solely in-game digital items.
Following a similar approach as some other Web3 games like Gods Unchained and NFL Rivals in Prime Gaming giveaways, Champions Ascension will introduce new in-game items biweekly through Amazon Prime Gaming as part of a 12-week promotion. Future giveaways include resources such as essence and bone, along with additional monster part boxes.
Amazon Prime subscribers not only gain access to free in-game content for NFT games like Mojo Melee, Brawlers, and Champions Ascension but also for major “Web2” titles such as League of Legends, Roblox, Madden NFL 24, and Cyberpunk 2077.
Champions Ascension is currently conducting an early access alpha playtest ahead of a broader release on Windows PC. Although plans include launching on the popular PC marketplace Steam, NFT integration will not be available due to Steam’s restrictions on blockchain features.
