The team of developers behind meme coin Shiba Inu, reportedly the second biggest meme coin by market capitalization, has been working on Shibarium, the crypto’s L2 blockchain.
The new initiative seeks to enable faster transaction speeds and higher scalability while keeping costs associated with the network low. Furthermore, Shibarium is designed to offer an intricate framework for developing the Shiba environment.
The team of developers scheduled Shibarium to be launched in 2023. Despite rumours of the launch date being on Valentine’s Day, nobody knows the definitive date for the release. While most of the crypto community, including Shiba insiders, hope to see the new blockchain emerge on the 14th of February, a lead dev within Shiba’s team thinks otherwise.
Shytoshi Kusama, Shiba Inu’s lead developer, responded to a query in which he stated that the launch date has no exact details so far. That is why he didn’t share a certain launch date.
Moreover, the dev declared that the launch event would not be completed via a switch button. There are numerous phases and stages to make sure that the network is stable and functional. Earlier in 2023, the devs of SHIB shared the news of Shibarium’s beta release. Furthermore, the team of developers showcased some key functions and features of the L2 network while trying to amend the protocol’s surrounding wave of wrong info.
