Brett Harrison, a former FTX US president, has launched a new crypto trading venture.
Despite the affiliation with the former crypto exchange that filed for bankruptcy and is in the middle of a scandal, Harrison managed to secure backing from key crypto industry players. Called Architect, the new project managed to rase funds of USD 5 million from Circle Ventures, Coinbase Venturse, and Anthony Scaramucci, the former Trump-era White House press secretary, among others.
A provider of software for designing trading infrastructure for Web3, Architect provides products targeted for the business to business market. However, Architect can also attract eyes from traders of high volumes, according to the man in charge.
The primary clients of the company, according to Harrison, will appeal to Architect’s solutions to trade quicker and better on more than one crypto platform via a sole interface, he said. Harrison continued to showcase that Architect has the capability to create an API that combines trading between Uniswap and Coinbase.
According to him, besides designing infrastructure for leading industry names, Architect puts a high priority on safety and trust. He declared that the new project should be designed in a way that allows customers to trade without relying on Architect for storage and safekeeping of their personal info. They should not exchange wallet or API keys either. Harrison concluded that a decentralized solution of some kind will be implemented in the final design.
