Crypto asset manager Grayscale has appointed John Hoffman, former Head of Americas at Invesco, to lead its distribution and partnerships team. Hoffman, an ETF veteran, brings over 17 years of experience from Invesco, where he held various roles, including director of ETF institutional sales and capital markets, and more recently, leading the Americas, ETF, and indexed strategies team.
Grayscale’s move to bring Hoffman on board comes just six weeks before an anticipated decision on whether the company will be granted approval to launch a spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund (ETF). Hoffman’s expertise is expected to play a crucial role in shaping Grayscale’s strategies and partnerships in the evolving ETF landscape.
Dave LaValle, Global Head of ETFs at Grayscale, expressed enthusiasm about Hoffman joining the team, stating, “John has a wealth of industry and ETF expertise, which will be invaluable to our team and clients, especially during this exciting time at Grayscale.”
Invesco, a prominent ETF provider in the United States boasting a portfolio of more than 200 ETFs and managing around $425 billion in assets, has recently undergone notable changes, including the departure of Anna Paglia. The former Global Head of ETFs has taken on a new role as Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer at State Street Global Advisors.
