OpenSea has introduced a new sequence of tools which are to be launched on the marketplace for non-fungible tokens.
The Drops features are designed to improve the creator’s experience for minting NFTs on the marketplace. In the next few weeks, some creators will be selected to experience the new features. The NFT marketplace has announced, on the 2nd of February 2023, that Drops’ new phase for NFT projects will be launched on OpenSea.
OpenSea has partnered with twenty teams since 2022 to develop a better experience for Drops. The new initiative will enable a certain number of creators to experience minting phases split in multiple stages, customized landing pages, allowlist support, and others.
Interested OpenSea partners are invited by the company to apply for early access to the new series of tools on the platform’s official website. The company states that some of the must-haves of any NFT project are the ability to build a community and storytelling.
As such, the NFT marketplace wishes to focus more on elements that enable rich storytelling. On Twitter, OpenSea stated that the Drops version one provided partners to roll out their NFT collections by partnering with the NFT platform. This included an immersive experience for the drop, meant to highlight their NFT project, art, and brand.
The tweet continued by highlighting the new Drops phase features which are meant to enable creators to use features for managing the minting experience better. This includes smart contracts deployment and drop mechanism configures.
