The Ronin crypto wallet mobile app, a key player in Ethereum’s sidechain network designed for crypto games, has unveiled a significant enhancement by integrating Binance Pay. The latest development enables users to seamlessly import funds from their Binance exchange accounts directly into their Ronin wallets. Additionally, mobile users now have the convenience of automatically converting cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum into Ronin ecosystem tokens, including AXS and SLP from the popular Axie Infinity game.
While the Binance exchange does not currently list Ronin’s primary token, RON, users can acquire it through decentralized exchanges (DEX). Notably, Binance does feature SLP and AXS on its exchange for users in select countries. The integration with Binance Pay is initially available exclusively on the Ronin mobile app.
This strategic move follows Ronin’s recent surge in blockchain activity, triggered by the migration of the game “Pixels” to the Ronin blockchain. The surge in interest resulted in a tripling of active user numbers in early November. Despite Binance facing challenges and users withdrawing substantial funds following CEO Changpeng Zhao’s announcement of stepping down amidst money laundering charges, Ronin has capitalized on the growing appeal of its platform.
While Binance undergoes changes and prepares for exit from the U.S. market, Ronin’s Binance Pay integration primarily caters to mobile users outside the U.S. The move underscores Ronin’s commitment to providing a seamless and efficient experience for users within the broader crypto gaming ecosystem.
As Ronin continues to shape the landscape of Ethereum sidechain networks, the addition of Binance Pay support marks a pivotal moment in enhancing user accessibility and expanding the platform’s utility.
