Shiba Inu (SHIB), the popular dog-themed cryptocurrency, has unveiled its roadmap for Shibarium and exposed counterfeit sites as it prepares for the launch of its Layer-1 (L1) mainnet. The development of Shibarium, a new blockchain, aims to address key challenges faced by the two-year-old memecoin.
One of the primary benefits of Shibarium is its Layer-1 scaling solution, which promises to significantly reduce transaction fees and processing time. During the testing phase, the average block time of five seconds indicates that transactions will be considerably faster.
Furthermore, Shibarium is expected to enhance the utility of the Shiba Inu token, which currently operates on an ERC-20 protocol. The platform will enable the integration of Shiba Inu’s metaverse, the blockchain adaptation of the Shiba Eternity game, as well as community dApps built on top of Shibarium. Additionally, the eagerly anticipated Shiba Inu auto-burning mechanism will operate on Shibarium’s L1.
Lucie SHIB, a member of the SHIB Token marketing team, has shared that Shibarium’s mainnet launch is estimated to take place in the third quarter of 2022. However, the renowned crypto influencer cautioned the SHIB Army to anticipate potential delays if the testing phase reveals significant bugs.
In parallel, Shiba Inu has uncovered several counterfeit sites, alerting its community to exercise caution and avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes. With the unveiling of the Shibarium roadmap and vigilance against scams, Shiba Inu is positioning itself for future growth and increased functionality within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
