After it raised USD 6.9 mln, Web3 video platform Shibuya, co-founded by pplpleasr, announced that NFT holders can shape its proximate animation video.
The project showcases a stop-motion animation, in a short format, coming from popular DJ Steve Aoki and Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, the animation studio co-founded by Seth Green. Aoki and Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, who created Adult Swim shows such as Robot Chicken, decided to launch Dominion X: Level 2 on Shibuya. The project will run in collaboration with Shibuya’s community, for a production duration of six weeks. Holders of NFTs can vote each week on the endings of new scenes. Following the vote, the segment’s producers will film it accordingly.
The end result will be a stop-motion animation, accessible by Shibuya’s platform users. However, only token holders can vote during its production. Furthermore, the NFT holders can obtain an NFT as a reward. The NFT rewards will vary in rarity, according to how much users contribute and participate in the production process.
Dominion X is the second launch for Shibuya since it was rolled out in March 2022. Also, this is the first project coming from outside. According to pplpleasr, the new film will be different than White Rabbit, the platform’s first launch.
