The Solana Foundation has recently announced its plans to offer a fund worth USD 1 million for small-scale grants aimed at exploring the intersection of blockchain and AI.
These grants, ranging from USD 5,000 to USD 25,000, will be available for both existing and new projects. Solana’s unique high throughput and scalability make it an ideal platform for building new and innovative ideas with AI. As such, the foundation aims to encourage the Solana ecosystem to explore new use cases for these emerging technologies.
To qualify for the grant, tools or apps must be publicly available for others to use, open-source at launch, and their source code must be available to the Foundation. By doing so, the foundation seeks to encourage collaboration within the community and foster the development of innovative solutions that can benefit the broader public.
In addition, Solanalabs has introduced an open-source reference implementation for a ChatGPT plugin that enables users to interact directly with the Solana network. This plugin is expected to facilitate communication and interaction between developers and the network, promoting the creation of new and exciting applications.
With the Solana Foundation’s new grant program and Solanalabs’ ChatGPT plugin, the Solana ecosystem is poised to take on new frontiers in blockchain and AI, enabling developers to explore novel applications and create solutions that can positively impact society.
