Bitcoin’s ‘B’ logo was projected on Berlin’s night sky recently as it lit up the tallest building in Germany.
On the 21st of January 2023, Bitcoin’s B logo was lit up on the Berliner Fernsehturm tower. Otherwise known as Berlin’s TV Tower, pictures and videos of the building lit up with Bitcoin’s logo flooded social media platforms, including Twitter, eventually being shared on popular accounts from Bitcoin Twitter.
The person who organised the event is Tilo, a Germany-based Bitcoin enthusiast, as he revealed to Cointelegraph. The Chief Executive Officer of an agency for events, Tilo has organised a conference in 2023 called the ‘Best of Blockchain’. He declared that setting up the B logo display is simple. The process requires a mixer, the special B logo and a power station. The first attempt was a fail as Tilo attempted to use a much weaker beamer at the end of 2021.
Berlin is not the first European capital to have the Bitcoin logo displayed on iconic buildings. London, in May 2021, had a Bitcoin-related phrase projected on the façade of the Bank of England. Previously, Bitcoin slogans were projected by Tilo on Berlin’s iconic wall. Tilo also released an inventory for the products required for those who are tempted to try out their own projections. Tilo wanted to point out that such movements are not often legal, so he advised caution.
