NFT game Tiny Colony, a management and construction simulator oriented for blockchain, has announced plans to switch from Solana to Ethereum’s Immutable X.
As stated by Tinyverse’s CEO and co-founder, Immutable X is a platform focused on the gaming industry and has revolutionary tech and an impressive team of developers.
Tiny Colony allows players to get involved in the construction and management of colonies of ants which are populated by creatures similar to humans underground. The game’s purpose is to mine for minerals, farm, and develop larvae while taking on enemies to allow your colony to survive. As gamers progress through various levels, they can obtain NFTs which can be used in-game or traded on various marketplaces.
Last summer, Tiny Colony was released in a trial version on Solana’s network. The game’s designer announced that the full release will come on Ethereum’s Immutable X later in 2023. Although Tiny Colony is a much smaller project than BAYC’s Otherside or Axie Infinity, it still has lots of potential. The two projects mentioned earlier were able to generate more than USD 1 billion in NFT sales.
Since Tinyverse launched the game on Fractal, Solana’s marketplace, it managed to have NFT sales worth USD 3 million. Right now, gamers can acquire NFTs on secondary markets with SOL equivalent of USD 5.
