Yuga Labs has teased an NFT game based on skill and a free mint to expand its ecosystem of non-fungible tokens.
The announced addition contains several steps and it will begin on the 17th of January with Sewer Passes, a new batch of NFTs for the holders of the MAYC (Mutand Ape Yacht Club) and BAYC (Bored Ape Yacht Club) collections. The Sewer Passes tokens represent keys to unlock Dookey Dash, a skill-based video game which becomes available for play on the 18th of January 2023.
Any holder of Sewer Pass NFTs has the chance to play Dookey Dash, even those who bought the new Yuga Labs creations from secondary marketplaces. The game can be played by holders indefinitely, allowing holders to validate the NFTs, if their scoreboards show more than zero. According to the announcement, this will also transform a Sewer Pass in a (mysterious) source of power.
On the 15th of February 2023, the Dookey Dash experience will end and the results will be revealed. In a Twitter thread, BAYC wrote that Sewer Pass users will enter a competition to have high scores and obtain new power sources. Users with the highest scores will have to wait until the end of the experience to find out to what earnings they are entitled.
