MixMob, a Solana-based gaming universe focusing on “remix culture,” has revealed that its debut game, MixMob: Racer 1, will be available on the iOS App Store and Android Play Store starting May 14, marking its expansion beyond the web-based platform.
MixMob: Racer 1, a “race-to-earn” game, invites players to compete for crypto rewards in a dystopian setting where they confront a malevolent AI that has devastated human culture. Described as a blend of “Mario Kart meets Hearthstone,” the game combines racing strategy with real-time card selection, providing an engaging gameplay experience.
Utilizing MixMob’s MXM token on the Solana blockchain, MixMob: Racer 1 enables token holders to participate in governance activities and earn rewards. Players can stake their tokens in “Turbo Arenas,” which also function as liquidity pools, granting them access to governance votes and reward opportunities.
Launched on February 1 and distributed via airdrops to early players and contributors, MXM is currently priced at just under $0.05, experiencing a 22% increase over the past week in anticipation of the mobile launch.
To commemorate the upcoming release, MixMob has exclusively shared the mobile launch trailer with Decrypt’s GG. Additionally, the game will introduce in-game leaderboards ahead of the inaugural “World Clash” competition scheduled for May 30.
The iOS version of MixMob: Racer 1 is available for pre-order globally, with automatic downloads scheduled for May 14. MixMob is collaborating with prominent gaming guilds such as Yield Guild Games and Merit Circle to promote the launch, utilizing web and social media advertising to maximize outreach.
Originally planned for May 7, the mobile launch was delayed to accommodate various enhancements and feature additions requested by the community.
While accessible to all players for free, MixMob: Racer 1 offers an optional NFT component, allowing players to purchase and equip Solana NFT “MixBots” and masks for in-game use. Owners of these NFTs have also been eligible for token rewards through airdrops.
In addition to creating its original gaming franchise, MixMob is actively pursuing partnerships to integrate well-known pop culture IP into its platform. The first such collaboration, featuring the original Stormtrooper character design from “Star Wars,” was announced in February, with plans to offer the character as an in-game NFT.
