Aurory’s immersive gaming experience, “Seekers of Tokane,” is now accessible to the public via the Epic Games Store, marking a significant expansion in accessibility. Previously reserved for NFT holders and recipients of access codes, this Solana-based role-playing and monster-battling game brings forth a captivating world filled with Nefties, Pokémon-esque creatures, and lush fantasy landscapes.
The public release, scheduled from February 12 to February 26, coincides with the launch of the in-game event, “Dracurve’s Awakening.” This limited-time access not only offers players an opportunity to delve into the captivating gameplay but also presents a chance to earn valuable crypto rewards, including AURY tokens and rare in-game NFTs.
Aurory has allocated $50,000 worth of AURY token rewards for players, with a significant portion earmarked for Aurorian NFT owners. Additionally, exclusive NFT collectibles and “Draconic Eggs” await discovery within the game world.
While the distribution mechanism for the $50,000 AURY reward pool remains undisclosed, Aurory promises an engaging and rewarding experience for both NFT holders and non-owners alike. Decrypt’s GG has sought clarification from the Aurory team regarding reward distribution and will update accordingly.
Launched on the Epic Games Store last November, Aurory’s expansion onto this mainstream gaming platform underscores its commitment to reaching a wider audience. The Epic Games Store, boasting over 230 million users, has become a hub for crypto and NFT games, showcasing titles like Shrapnel, Gods Unchained, and Nyan Heroes.
Despite initial roots in the Solana blockchain, Aurory has expanded its reach to Ethereum scaling network Arbitrum, aiming to attract a broader player base. However, challenges arose with the game’s bridge to Arbitrum, leading to an exploit resulting in a significant loss of AURY tokens in December.
