Ledger has publicly released the first browser extension available for Web3 – Ledger Connect! Starting in early 2023, Ledger users can use hardware wallets to connect to Web3 applications. Across the Metaverse, it can bring an enhanced user experience and security for users with NFT.
Ledger Connect software has been designed with the user experience in mind and can often be used in Nano X and Stax hardware wallets.
Web wallets are not new. However, Ledger Connect stated that it would be at the forefront of improving and enhancing the user experience for NFT fans everywhere in the crypto and Web3 space. The ledger will, of course, also influence the impressive security credentials of Ledger Connect. It will also be able to use Ledger’s API address for open signing or to control the products you have purchased. All these improvements will help users have much more peace of mind when purchasing NFTs or trading their NFTs.
The Ledger Connect extension will connect to your Ledger device via Bluetooth. So you will only be able to use Ledger Connect if you have your hardware wallet with you. In fact, Ledger Connect will run in the background while browsing Web3 sites and browsing their apps.
So, if you want to buy an NFT, the Ledger Connect window will open without waiting and show you clearly what you are about to buy. In this way, users have more information about what they buy and for how much, and they can give up if they are not sure of their decision. It is also possible for users to decide which device or account will make the purchase.
If all is well with you, you can sign the smart contract and buy your brand-new NFT. After a short time, the contract will appear on your Ledger device, and you will be able to clearly see what kind of contract you signed from a reliable screen.
