Former US President Donald Trump rolled out a collection of 45,000 digital trading card NFTs, as he announced on its Truth Social account.
Truth Social is a social media website founded by Trump in 2021. As found on the NFT collection’s site, the digital trading cards feature Trump images in a design that resembles collectable baseball cards. The cards were created on Ethereum sidechain network Polygon and come with a cost of USD 99. They can be bought via fiat currency or ETH.
Those who buy one of these NFTs will have the possibility to obtain different experiences with the former president. These include having a call on Zoom, going to dinner in Miami, or enjoying a cocktail hour with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago.
Despite Trump’s former declaration that he’s ‘not a fan’ of crypto, he seemed very eager to promote his NFT collection. He shared his hopes that these cards are ‘much more exciting’ than baseball cards. Trump also believes that his collection makes for a great Christmas gift.
Each NFT card showcases Trump reimagined as an astronaut, cowboy, or superhero. Donald Trump’s NFT collection is made out of 45,000 cards in total on Polygon, buyers being allowed to buy 100 NFTs max.
