Lewis Kaplan, a US-based judge, has revealed who the co-signers of the USD 250 million bail are after he officially requested for the documents to be unsealed.
According to the revealed files, Larry Kramer, a former Standford Law School Dean, and Andreas Paepcke, a Research Scientist at Stanford, were co-signers on the bail. On the 3rd of January 2023, Inner City Press filed the first motion to reveal the documents. Afterwards, Kaplan, who was the one responsible for judging the case, revealed the identity of the co-signers of the bail, who were previously hidden.
The impressive bail of USD 250 million which Sam Bankman-Fried had to post had two respectable employees of Stanford as the co-signers. Molly White discovered the first of the two being Andreas Paepcke. After the documents have been unsealed, it was shown that Paepcke contributed with USD 200k to the bond of Bankman-Frieds.
Secondly, Larry Kramer was also revealed to be a co-signer of the bond. Kramer is a former Stanford Law School Dean. Furthermore, it was revealed that Kramer contributed with USD 500k to the bond of the former FTX Chief Executive Officer.
