Istanbul is an international hub that houses over 15 million population. And the city’s center, Taksim, was attacked on November 13.
However, the Istanbul Blockchain Week (IBW) was still held with over 2,000 attendees worldwide. More than 100 people spoke at the event.
This year’s bear market and the collapse of FTX didn’t stop the IBW 2022 attendees from discussing important things. As one could guess, these events were the most current topics on the main stage and in the IBW 2022 event hall.
Erhan Korhaliller, who organized IBW this year in Istanbul and founded EAK Digital, talked about both topics in the speech with which he opened. Except for the people who managed to get to Istanbul a few hours before appearing on stage, most speakers gave their condolences to the terrorist attack’s victims.
The IBW 2022 was held respectfully, and participants expressed their worries for the city’s citizens during the show’s entertainment moments. The atmosphere wasn’t flashy, but it had color and kept everyone in a vibrant mood.
For 4 days in a row, the IBW 2022 stage hosted the most influential names in the crypto industry. And what’s important is that the audience was attentive and entirely focused. The event was held at the Hilton Bomonti hotel, which offers break zones for crowded networking activities.
The IBW 2022 stage was too big for an event with 2,000 attendees, so those who organized the event split it into 3 parts. Only the nonfungible (NFT) kiosks were illuminated, and everyone could find the NFT Gallery nearby. The Gallery also presented InstanHack on a side.
Discussions at the event were focused on the expanded crypto verse. People talked about exchanges, market makers, providers of decentralized finance (DeFi), the metaverse, and blockchain gaming. In other words, those who attended the IBW 2022 clarified the current crypto world.
